UN1T partners with Pic’s

Posted 16th Jan 2019

At UN1T we’re always challenging ourselves to train hard and to become the fittest, strongest version of ourselves. And what we love more than the training itself? Our post-workout meal! After all, food is fuel, and without enough energy in the tank, we wouldn’t be able to smash through a cardio class or hit another PB.

To keep our members fuelled after each class, we’ve partnered with Pic’s Peanut Butter for the month of January and are offering slugs to each person that attends a class. Each Pic’s Peanut Butter slug contains pure peanut butter slugged into a foil tube – perfect for when you’re on the go, or if you can’t find a spoon to dig in straight from the jar! Plus, each slug contains 8g of protein and is free of gluten, dairy and sugar – a perfect post-workout snack.

Peanut butter is full of healthy fat and is high in valuable nutrients, including fibre, potassium, vitamin E and antioxidants. And another reason why we love Pic’s? Their peanut butter is made from 100% Australian grown Hi-Oleic peanuts, which are naturally grown peanuts that contain a fatty acid profile, similar to olive oil. They also contain a much greater proportion of Oleic acid compared to normal peanuts (75% vs. 55%), which is a well-known monounsaturated fatty acid that offers a number of health benefits. This much higher proportion of Oleic acid in Pic’s Peanut Butter is what makes their nut butter stand out from the crowd and offer even more nutritional benefits than standard peanut butter, including increasing the ability to use fat as fuel, increase energy and satiety, and improve insulin sensitivity and glucose regulation.

Besides having a Pic’s slug straight up, we also love adding them to recipes. Visit Pic’s website for more recipe inspo or try out the recipe below!
