UN1T Wears it Pink for Breast Cancer Now

Posted 8th Nov 2019

55,000 women and nearly 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year. That breaks down to one in seven women in the UK who will develop breast cancer in their lifetime.

With survival rates doubling over the past 40 years, research and development to help find a cure has been stronger than ever – but it’s still not enough. One women dies from breast cancer every 45 minutes in the UK alone, which means getting as many people involved in raising awareness and funds to help support life-saving research is key.

To support the cause, UN1T hosted our very own Wear It Pink UN1TY on 18 October to raise funds and awareness about breast cancer, while still doing what we do best – training as one.

Programmed by Coach G, our athletes donned their pink workout gear and were put through their paces with a UN1TY full of running, weights and our favourite cardio machines. The event wrapped up with drinks from Barbells and NOCCO, Nush Foods providing the post-workout fuel, and members raising £260 for Breast Cancer Now.

A huge thank you to each member who came, sweat, and raised money for an incredibly important cause.
